I’m thinking of talking to Amanda (my jogging / walking partner) about doing the Alzheimer's Memory Walk that will be taking place shortly in the Portland / Vancouver area. We have stopped jogging (we were doing the couch to 5k program) since it has been really hot here of late. We started playing tennis but that has stopped as well. So I’m thinking we need to do something and helping a cause well getting some exercise might be the way to get her back into the exercise routine. I have to say it’s my fault as well that we have not been working out. But I think we need a goal and raising money for the Alzheimer’s Walk might just be what we need to keep the motivation going. The walk is going to be in Portland Oregon on the 28th of August starting at Pioneer Courthouse Square so that gives us almost a month to get back in shape since we are gamers and don’t work out very much.

Well we replaced the Floor in our house this weekend and since we ripped out the carpet the house is smelling so much better. I did not realize that the carpet was causing such a bad smell. I guess I had not noticed it or I had blocked it out. But with the carpet and padding removed and the Allure flooring put in I notice that the air just seems cleaner. So if you have carpet in your house you should think of taking it out it’s just a dirt collector!! |

 My Mom helped me make a pie over the weekend. I had been asking how to make a pie crust since all of the berries are ripe right now. So we eneded up making an all butter pie crust and then this Raspberry Pie on the right. It has both a jelly like raspberry topping as well as fresh fruit on the inside. You serve it with some Whip Cream and it is crazy good! |

 My fiancée is thinking that she should get some new frames for her glasses. She has been looking at 1 zennioptical.com you can see the frames she is thinking about getting in the picture on the right. I’m not sure about the color for her complexion but I do think they are cool looking.

Well it is now July, and the summer is in Full swing. I have been thinking of starting in on my raspberry jam this weekend I called the farm where I get my berries and they said they dont have full Flats yet, so its going to be a little bit of a challenge to do stuff. I might just have to get them and throw them on the bed and roll around in them like a crazy person!! They are so good!! |

I went over to a friends house tonight and played Battlefield: Bad Company for the first time. I have to say that I really liked the game. Its fun and the only thing I played was the online porion of the game. I'm thinking I'm going to go and get it tommorow. It should be a lot of fun to play especially in a group! |
