So I have an issue with Bank of America, I guess I did not read all the paper work that I was sent. They have changed their policies so if any charges are pending on your account and you have a negative balance with those pending charges you will be billed a overdraft fee. I know that sounds a little weird but I talked to 2 agents a supervisor and then Matt Gross at Executive Escalations and that is the new official policy. From what Matt said they sent the notice out back in June of last year and the policy went into effect this week. The two agents did not really know what was going on and the supervisor was a little better. GRRR… I have to say that I’m not happy with this new policy and I’m really thinking of just spending cash instead of using my debit card with this policy. So if you make a reservation where they authorize your card for a preset amount as a hold then that comes out of your available balance even if they never process the charge. So like Hotels or Car Rentals, before this policy went into effect it would not have made a difference to your available balance now you can get overdraft fee’s and start a cascade affect on your account and owe the bank 100’s of dollars in fees. Here is a better explination of the above: "BoA has started charging overdraft fees on pending transaction (not posted transaction) when you go into the negative in your available balance. This will occur even if transaction(s) fall off and you're really not in the negative. " http://www.my3cents.com/showReview.cgi?id=34861 |

So I finally got approved for Pay Per Post today. Just to give a brief descritpion of how Pay Per Post works, what you need to do is write up a review of a website or service with links to that site and post it. The reviews can be anywhere from 50 to 200 or more words per post and depending on your page rank (my site has a page rank of zero right now) you get paid either Five Dollars or more depending on your site. I have to say that it took a bit of work to get this blog up and running and configured in such a way for Pay Per Post to let me have blog reviews on my site. I have to say that over all it took about Three Months in order to get approved. From the reviews that I have heard and people that I have talked to Pay Per Post should allow me to cover the cost of my hosting service. It runs about one hundred dollars a year. From the oppertunities that I have seen on there site I should be able to cover that cost and make a little bit more. I will keep you updated on how this service works out for me. It think this might be the start of a great working experiance. blog reviews here I come!!

Well our guest left to day, it was really sad to see them go! We had a great weekend hung out had some drinks and visited. One of them is Graduation from there Masters program in May and the other is looking to continue his education. I was trying to get him to move up here. I dont think that he considered it much but you never know. It would be nice to have them near by. You know people to hang with. It's almost BBQ season we need people to come over and help with the food. :) |
