I have been wanting to post this video, we had some people in from out of town so we took them to the First Thursday Gallery walk down in the Pearl. And there was a band playing and they were kind of a Russian Gypsy kind of band. And they started playing this song with the lyrics of Osama Bin Laden, and then out of nowhere we get this guy that kind of looks like Andy Warhol jumping out and dancing. I have to say those bumper stickers about keeping Portland Weird must be working. So for your viewing pleasure Osama Bin Laden and Andy Warhol:

I was checking out the blog at webhostinggeeks.com to see what they would suggest for a dedicated server since I'm going to need to be changing to one sometime here in the near future. I have had a few interactions with my current hosting provider. The last one was about the number of processes I had running. It was not really my fault since someone was scanning my site and I have some Amazon stories set up that are all php based and they needed to run processes for each page that was being scanned. So to make a long story short they ended up turning off my account.

Due to this interaction I have been contemplating changing to a dedicated hosting provider. Not only would it get ride of the issue of having to many processes running at one time but it would also allow me to run some scripts that I’m not able to load at this time since the server does not proved the necessary databases.

I’m thinking I would go with ultrahosting.com since they are more in line with my budget and they have some nice machines. I don’t have anything that really is going to need some power behind it so there a perfect match they are running a Core2 Duo 1.8 with 1 GB of RAM and you get 80 GB of hard drive space that is more than enough for my website.

We went to the coast this weekend and well we where there we went to the Seaside Aquarium to feed the seals. They are really cute. The best one was Louis he just lays there on his side not moving and claps his flipper until you throw him some fish. Its the cutest thing ever. I suggest that if you are on the Oregon Coast you head over there and check them out and bring a lot of one dollar bills since you will want to just keep on feeding them.

I was looking around online for some cool stuff when I came across this site that is selling replicas’ of Harry Potter wand. How cool is that? I have always loved the stuff that they think of to include in moves. I used to work at a knife shop and they would sell all kinds of movie replica swords, they had a bunch from the Lord of the Ring movies as well as some items from Aliens and Conan.  I always wanted to get one, but at that time I just did not have the money even with the discount they were just to expensive. Now that I’m an adult with a real job and some real income it’s something that I can indulge in. The “Little Lady” does not have the same fascination that I do with getting replicas of movie props but we come to a compromise every now and then. One of the issues is that they need to be displayed nicely and can just be laying on a shelf they either need to be on a display stand or in a lighted display case.

So I might be getting the wand that Harry Potter used in the movies I think that would be kind of cool to have that. I could indulge in a little bit of fantasy roll playing. I think that would be fun.
