Jericho PDF Print E-mail

So I was watching Jericho last year, and I have to say I really liked the show. I don’t know what CBS was doing with it, because I could never find it playing on TV. I had to watch it all On Demand via Comcast’s service. Even then it did not seem like it would update on a given day like most shows. All I can really say about the show is that the writers did a great job in conveying a message of fear and the unknown. And all of the actors did a GREAT job.

With the second season starting this month, I’m looking forward to finding out what really caused the nuclear attacks on America, and what will happen to the people of Jericho now that they have contact with the outside world. What will happen to Skeet Ulrich’s character and will we find out what he was really doing after he left town.

I found a list of all the episodes for season one available at CBS.com hope you like the show as much as I do.

PLOT

When Jake Green returns to his Kansas small-town home Jericho, where his dad Johnston is mayor, everyone is preoccupied with petty private business and family matters, but that change’s drastically after a completely unexpected explosion. It soon becomes clear there has been a nuclear attack, but neither by whom nor on which scale. Suddenly life in Jericho, and as the inhabitants gradually discover all over the disintegrating USA, becomes a more primordial struggle for survival, where inexperienced dangers, primitive as well as technological, have to be weighed against pressing primal needs, such as food, fuel and self-defense against plunderers, invaders and even each-other. Jake, whose private story like that of other main characters slowly becomes disclosed to us, proves extremely resourceful and a smart hero, while his father's mayoral authority and even that of the only available medical professionals is soon challenged and undermined, criminal potentials are tapped into by circumstances and good people must rise to the daunting occasion assertively or perish. Even when contact is made with neighboring surviving towns, desperate rivalry soon cancels out solidarity. Furthermore, there is a well-equipped, hidden organization at work, which recently arrived Robert Hawkins belongs to…

D. Grey-man "New Show im watching" PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator
Friday, 22 February 2008 21:21

So I was looking around the net today for a new show to watch since I'm all caught up with Spice & Wolf, and I came across D. Grey-man. So I watched the first episode on Veoh.com and I really liked it, so I'm recommending it to you if you would like to check it out. Here is the basic plot as follows from the Wiki for the show.

Plot
The story of D.Gray-man takes place on a fictional Earth at the end of the 19th century. The plot mostly centers around Allen Walker, a young boy who is a member of The Black Order; a secretive organization whose members are known as Exorcists. The Order's primary mission is to stop The Millennium Earl, an ancient being who intends to 'cleanse' the world by destroying all life on it.

Exorcists are specially chosen humans who are gifted with the ability to control and use Innocence, a divine substance created in ages past to combat the Earl. According to the Order's history, at the end of The Great Flood, 109 fragments of Innocence were scattered around the world. Once an Innocence fragment is matched to its compatible user, it can become a weapon or tool for the user to wield in the battle against the Earl.

Throughout the story, Allen is introduced to more Exorcists, including Yu Kanda, Lenalee Lee, Lavi, Miranda Lotto, and Arystar Krory. Assisting Allen and the Exorcists is a team of scientists and handlers led by Komui Lee, a Supervisor of the Black Order and Lenalee's older brother. Allen's master and mentor is the enigmatic Cross Marian, one of the five Exorcist Generals of the Black Order, who at the beginning of the story has mysteriously disappeared. In the course of completing their missions, Allen and his fellow Exorcists are introduced to the other Generals: Kevin Yeegar, Froi Tiedoll (Or Froi Theodore depending on translation), Cloud Nine, and Winters Sokaro.

The Millennium Earl is aided in his plans by The Noah Clan, humans who are direct descendants of Noah himself. Each member of this clan is gifted with great power and each represents a different 'aspect' of Noah. They are identified by their gray skin and line of cross-shaped markings on their foreheads. As the story progresses, the members of the clan are revealed: Road Kamelot (The Dreams of Noah), Tyki Mikk (The Pleasures of Noah), Jasdero and Debitto - Jasdebi (The Bonds of Noah), Skin Boric (The Wrath of Noah), and Lulubell (The Lust of Noah).

The Earl also utilizes an army of demonic creatures called Akuma to do his bidding. Akuma are created by taking advantage of someone's grief over the death of a loved one. The Earl tricks individuals into bringing their loved one back to life through a skeletal 'doll,' only to have that doll kill them and turn them into an Akuma with the soul of the dead loved one trapped inside. Akuma are able to evolve and with each new level grow more intelligent, powerful, and sadistic. Since Akuma can impersonate humans to blend in with people, Exorcists are routinely assigned to track down and eliminate them. Allen is the only exorcist able to actually see past an Akuma's disguise, this is because of a curse placed on him. The evolutions of Akuma are Level 1: which is the standard and start form of all Akuma; Level 2: Akuma gains a personality and a will of it's own and awakens it's abilities; Level 3: Akuma becomes a murderous being, wearing an impenetrable armor and awakens even more of its abilities. Currently, the highest and most powerful Akuma the exorcists face is a Level 4, which is extremely powerful and almost invincible, giving even the generals a difficult time.

So I have been out surfing the web trying to find something to do and I cant find anything, I signed up for the Stumbleupon tool bar, and I have to say its fun for a a little bit and then not so much. I was looking for shows to watch and there is not a lot out there. I understand the networks not wanting to put out quality feeds of there shows but do they have to be so small... if I'm going to watch something on my PC I would like it if I could at least have half the screen being the picture. I dont want to have a two inch by two inch square... anyway if you see anything good let me know!!

Knight Rider 3000 PDF Print E-mail

So I watched the Knight Rider movie last night, I have to say for a TV movie it was not that bad. The plot was so
Over all I would have to rate the show as a 4 out of 10, it’s ok to watch if you don’t have anything better to do, part of that comes from the fact that there where commercials every 5 minutes it seemed like. If Ford was sponsoring the movie, they should have just shown it commercial free.
{limage}eu2_bg.jpg{/limage}
It would have made the movie better in my opinion.

The one thing I really liked was the fact that they had Val Kilmer doing the voice of K.I.T.T I have liked him ever since Willow. Of course the best part of Willow was his ex-wife Joanne Whalley.

Well on the brightside I'm no longer sick, well for the most part, I feel a lot better, I have been resting and drinking some tea and lemon and just working on feeling better. I stayed home from work last thursday. I will be busy the rest of the month so I can't really afford to be sick. Plus at the end of March I will be going to San Juan so I have to keep healthy. It would suck to not go on a free trip! The weather here has been keeping sunny with clouds in the sky so spring is here, that means we should soon be having fruit planted in the fields which will make for a wonderful Summer!!

I'm getting SICK!! PDF Print E-mail

This really suck’s, I’m getting sick with what everyone else has. That runny nose and draining slim, I don’t know what all I will be able to do this weekend but I would love to just go home and go to bed right now. Maybe watch a little TV drink some 7-up and take some vitamins and call it a day. Sleep all night long and wake up refreshed tomorrow. Would that not be a nice afternoon? I don’t think that is going to be happening though. I have reports at work that I need to finish and we have to get the tire on the Mazda fixed, either that or just put more air in it and drag it out until the weekend before we get it fixed. That might be what ends up happening. Plus what’s for dinner, me I don’t really want anything to eat but my fiancée is going to want something, she might have to scrounge in the kitchen and just throw something together.

Remodeling the bathroom PDF Print E-mail

As you know we bought the condo about a year ago and we are still working on making some changes, we would like to remodel the bathroom we are looking for some Cheap Lights. It has been hard to find some, especially since the bathroom needs a light and a fan combo. In addition doing a discount bathroom is even harder. We need to remodel the downstairs bathroom since right now it just has a working toilet and we need to ad a new sink to make it a ½ bath. I have been looking around online and came across this website http://www.stockblowout.com they have a bunch of items available I love that you can search by width and height of the light you would like to have, as well as by theme. I found a really nice pedestal sink on there site, at a very descent price over 30% off. My fiancée and I did our old house with all pedestal sinks in the bathrooms and we would like to that again with our condo. I also want to put in a claw foot tub. Modern bathtubs just aren’t deep enough to get in a really good soak, I found a Kohler K-710-W at http://www.stockblowout.com for over 75% off! How can you beat that!!

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles PDF Print E-mail

So I have been watching the Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, I have to say I did not think I was going to like the show but it has grown on me a little. I have to say one of the redeeming qualities is Summer Glau as the good Terminator. I have liked her since I saw Serenity, she plays the part of the Terminator really well, brings a little humanity to the part.

If you would like to watch or catch up on this show here is the link to Fox On Demand. CLICK HERE

Here is a nice desktop of Summer as well.

Technorati Profile have a look at my profile and let me know how it looks to you and if I should add anything to it. Since I have had this domain I have been confused over what I should do with the site and what I should post. I have mostly just been adding things of interest to myself. Occasionally a friend or family member will ask me to post something for them. Laughing

So I installed a new Joomla component today. I used to have something like this on the old site, I hope they add some features to this one so it will work a little bit more like the old one. So here are a couple of sample pictures that I have loaded up so you can see what this plugin does. I hope to be able to include more pictures with this plugin in the future. Maybe some pictures from San Juan. :)
