multiple remotes
Written by Administrator

I don’t know about you but my fiancée and I are always getting confused over what remote to use. We have TV remote a remote for the DVD player one for the stereo and one for the cable box. The cable box remote is supposed to be a universal but it does not work that well. We can’t get it programmed for everything and even if you set it to work the Stereo if you are watching TV and the music gets loud and you try to turn it down it turns the volume on the cable box down so you change the channel and its blasting again since it did not change the volume on the stereo. I have been looking into get a Yamaha neoHD universal remote. It’s a simple system that controls everything and you don’t have to worry about using the wrong remote. I’m going to be entering the Yamaha neoHD Sweepstakes to see if I can’t win one. You should enter as well. I’m going to be getting one regardless but it would be nice to get one for free.
I would love to hear your horror stories of too many remotes, just leave me your story in the comment section below.

I got this movie (on the right) Harlock Saga, I have not had a chance to watch it yet. I'm planning on watching it tonight and seeing what its like. I think I have seen it before but I cant remember. I really like the Harlock stories so I have watch most of them. I was thinking that I should get all of them from Netflix but I think I would need to take some time off of work and just spend a day or so watching them all. I cant afford to do that though.

FoodConnect.com

I have switched over to a vegan / Vegetarian diet. I have been trying to find some good recipes so I was looking at FoodConnect.com they seem to have some really good stuff on their site. I really like the recipe for the "Spicy Vegetable Enchiladas" those look really good. They have all kind of stuff from a mashed spicy carrot spread to stuffed tomatoes. I’m going to need to make sure that I keep their site at the top of my Bookmarks so when I’m feeling hungry I can just pull up a recipe and get to work on it. I’m down to 226 pounds so I’m well on my way to the 180 that I need to be in order to get off of my blood pressure medication and the vegan / vegetarian eating is working really well to shed the pounds.
The Heat - 100 degree's

We are back in a hot flash, for this summer. It was 100 degrees on my car thermometer when I got in to come home. I moved away from Arizona so I would not have to live with this heat. When I got home and checked the temperature in the house it was 81 degrees. This weather is just too hot; you can’t even cook anything for dinner since it is just going to make the house hotter than it already is. So, I dont know what I will do for the rest of the week other than run the A/C 24/7 in order to keep cool.
truTV's Black Gold

I just watched the two trailers that I have posted below for truTV's Black Gold it looks like it is not only going to be a interesting show but an exciting one as well. There are a couple of truTV's Black Gold trailer ‘s out there if you want to watch a couple of more. I think that truTV's Black Gold drilling experience is going to make a lot of people excited about the drilling industry. I know that it pays a bunch of money if you are willing to take the risks involved.
There first time that I ever saw oil drilling was on Dirty Jobs and it looked exciting when I saw that episode. Oil drilling is a really dangerouse job it you don’t follow the safty procedures that they have set out. People have lost there arms and legs if they get two close to the drill. So I’m looking forward to seeing what happens this season. I’m wondering what all will happen as the season progresses I know there will be a bunch of cussing in the show since they have that in the previews. It is almost like that cooking show with the guy that says the F word ever other word.

We are looking to go out to the coast over labor day weekend. We where looking at hotels today and it looks like there are still a couple of deals that we could get. They are not going to be the best hotels in the world but they are going to be close to the beach and we will be able to kick back and relax a little. There are a couple of hotels that are still at $100 a night. The Red Lion Inn in Astoria is just a little over a $100 a night but they want a deposit before they will book the room and I cant pay a deposit until at least this coming friday.
Do you Remember Blue Light Specials

It has been years since I have heard about a Kmart Bluelight special. I remember being a little kid and shopping in Kmart with me Mom and having someone come on the intercom and tell you that they were having a blue light special on isle 3 in house wares and that you could get something for 20% to 50% off. I used to love watching the blue lights turn on, on top of the isles. It was always a neat experience.
They are not going to be bringing the Blue Light Special back for all time but they will be doing it on the 15th of August that’s this coming Saturday, from what I have been able to find out its going to be on patio furniture, grills and jewelry all at bluelight special prices. Plus they will be having specials on Kmart.com as well.
if you follow Kmart on Twitter you will be able to see all the different items. Here is a short list:
* Kids Backpacks (Athletech, Route 66 and Licensed) reg. $19.99 – Bluelight $8! * American Fare Vita-Water 2 for $1 * All Patio Furniture 70% off! (+ an extra 20% off during bluelight!) * 70 count Notebooks – Buy 2 Get 1 Free * Diamond Jewelry extra 10% (Diamonds are already 70% off this week!)

Loveline - Adam vs. Anderson
Written by Administrator
Thursday, 13 August 2009 17:31
I'm listening to the August 10th episode of Loveline, I have heard that Adam and Anderson really get into a big fight over Bald Bryan. The show has DAG on as a guest and so far nothing has happened. From what I heard one the forums DAG ends up leaving half way through the show since it just gets to uncomfortable in the studio. And then towards the end of the show Dr. Bruce who is filling in for Dr. Drew ends up giving them a lecture on how to act like adults. If you want to skip the beginning of the show I guess right about 20 minutes into the show is when it starts.
watch truTV

I love watching tv when I can find a program that really brings the subject matter to life. I have heard online that they say it’s the the truTV effect. Most of the shows that do this are on the truTV network. I love to watch there shows they make me feel really kind of weird some times. They even have truTV video that you can share with your friends if you watch something that you truly have a reaction to. Once you start watching this channel you will never want to watch anything else again.
You have to really kind of make sure you have a cast iron stomach for some of there shows they are so real that they have made me physically ill sometimes with the images that they have shown. I really like the forensic shows but I have to close my eyes well watching it sometimes. They have other shows that are just amusing since they have to fuzz out people’s butts and other parts. They have some shows like wildest police chases and man vs cartoon.
So if you are looking for something different that is not fake reality tv check out truTV for the real action.

Crazy Week - House Guest coming tonight
Written by Administrator
Sunday, 09 August 2009 18:51
It has been a little bit of a crazy week since I posted last. I have been hanging out with my parents as well as other family members that came to town. The beer festival was great. Plus work has been keeping me busy. I ended up doing a bunch of work on and around the house. We cleaned and then cleaned some more. It has just been busy. I need a vacation. I have two days off this week but with people in from out of town that is going to keep me busy. On the bright side I will be going to breakfast with my Mom on thursday so that should be nice and relaxing.
