Sears is having a CampusReady sale. You can shop for all your dorm room needs. They have anything that you would want for campus living they even have tips from Ty Pennington on the sit on how best to get everything to fit into your living space. They even have CampusReady on Facebook, if you want to share thoughts and ideas with your friends.

The best part of this Sears site is that you can Shop by dorm room, the site also lets you coordinate dorm room products with design ideas, there is also a built in checklist. In addition they also have some financial planning tips, so you don’t go over budget. In looking closely at the site I also noticed that they have a link to apparel since most kids are going to be heading off to a different climate. I know I did that, I graduated from High School and moved to Arizona so I had to replace my whole wardrobe.

Since College tuition keeps rising Sears is going to be giving away $25,000 in college tuition to a luck winner with Upromise!

Upromise members are automatically entered with a sears.com purchase through Upromise.com, or enter free at sears.com/campusready. See sears.com/campusready

Vegan Food - Diet PDF Print E-mail

Tuesday, 04 August 2009 16:46

We had vegan enchiladas last night. I think they were really good. We followed the recipe this time and we were talking after dinner was over and we all agreed that we need to change it up a little in order to fit our tastes a little better. We were thinking we should add a little white onion and olives since the recipe just had spinach and mushrooms and hash browns. Those are all really good things but the flavor was just a little lacking the enchilada sauce was really good and over all I would give them a three and one half stars but I think we could make this a five star meal if we just changed it up a little.

Eye Cream Reviews PDF Print E-mail

My Fiancée has been reading a bunch of Eye Cream Reviews. She is looking to find a product that she feels will be able to slow or halt the aging process around her eyes. She has been looking into getting a couple of samples for a few products that she likes. But with all the new stuff coming on the market it is hard to keep up with what is out there. I think she reads one or two articles a week on a new product that has hit the market. She was reading on eyecream.com about some of the ingredients you need to look for in your eye cream like “Retinol A” since that is one of the active ingredients that will help slow the aging process.

Engine 2 Diet PDF Print E-mail

Monday, 03 August 2009 16:00

My Fiancée and I are going to be doing the “Engine 2 Diet” we basically started last Friday. We have been trying some different recipes from the book. We are going to be having Vegan Enchiladas tonight. It has mushrooms and spinach and the weird part is that they are not rolled you make this dish more like a Lasagna in that you layer all the ingredients. Since we are trying to do the healthy thing I made the enchilada sauce from scratch on Sunday and instead of using chicken broth I made a vegetable broth. When I was done it smelled really good. I was a little bummed that I did not have anything to pour the sauce over in order to try it right then and there.

babies cord blood PDF Print E-mail

We have been talking about having our first baby, I’m kind of looking forward to it and I have been reading up online and I keep seeing the name Cryo-Cell pop up on some of the forums. I guess the big new thing is to store some of the cord blood from when you have a baby and then freeze it so in case you need to have stem cells later on in life you would be able to use them from this frozen blood. I guess there are over 75 diseases that you can fight with this blood.

Cryo-Cell is having a promotion they are one of the leading companies that specialize storing cord blood. They have a promotion right now where it only cost $995 for processing, testing and first year of storage plus the cancellation fee is waived. This is for the "Protect Baby, Protect Mom" plans that they offer you can use promotion code 995PS by midnight Sunday, July 26th to get the special pricing.

Overall I think this is a great idea, I need to do a little more research and see if it is better to do this if you have chronic diseases that run in the family or if it is just something that everyone should be doing these days.

Tuesday, 28 July 2009 20:37
The last couple of days have just been a killer the heat has been up in the hundreds. We have been trying to go somewhere at night until the sun goes down in order to be cool. We have a window A/C unit and it helps keep the house in the mid seventies but it does not keep the house cold. Last night we went out to dinner at a good Chinese restaurant that we will be going back to in a couple of weeks since it was so good. And tonight it looks like we will be going over to Home Goods and then to Ikea to enjoy their A/C for a couple of hours.

Apartment Search iPhone App PDF Print E-mail

-1They have a new application in the iPhone store you can check it out at http://www.mynewplace.com/iphone. Basically the application lets you find a new place to live and it uses GPS system so you can search by area or by town. I think this is great because if you search by zip code to find a place you might end up in the bad part of that zip code. At least its like that here in Vancouver Washington there are some areas of town that are really nice but if you cross the street you are like in the ghetto. I have been playing around with the app and I would really recommend it so check it out at MyNewPlace in the iPhone app store

Send me a note and let me know what you think, my personal opinion is that you will really like it. If you are like me you will get use this app about every eighteen to twenty four months, that is about how often I change the apartment that I live in. I have posted a screen shot on the right so you will have an idea of what it looks like before you download it. I also found a video that you can watch for more information.

Oysters for dinner tonight PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator
Thursday, 23 July 2009 16:01
Dinner is going to be great tonight. My Dad is going to be cooking fresh oyster tonight with tabouli as a side. It would be great to have a little white wine with the oysters. I might end up doing that even though my parents are not drinking right now. We have a really nice white wine that we got down at our favorite winery. So maybe my fiancée and I will have the wine and just tell them what it’s like.

Other than that there is not much going tonight, we are going to be visiting with my cousin on Friday and we might be having a BBQ on Saturday so it should be a good weekend.

Great Dog Shampoo PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator
Tuesday, 21 July 2009 17:06

So there is this dog shampoo that I recommended to a friend.  And they think it’s great it’s made by Dinovite. The big question you have to ask yourself is: “Is your dog itching, scratching and stinking beyond belief?”

If the answer is yes then you need to look into getting yourself some Dogosuds. It has some great benefits.

Benefits:
• Makes your dog smell CLEAN and WONDERFUL for a long time.
• Lathers beautifully ... and RINSES EASILY!
• Contains 100% pure, therapeutic grade essential oils that have natural, healing properties
• Gentle soothing shampoo works well for sensitive skin.
• Is a NATURAL FLEA DETERRENT
• Lathers beautifully ... and RINSES EASILY!
• Contains NO CHEMICALS, NO PERFUMES, NO FILLERS, nothing to irritate or dry your dog's skin!
• Also works great to remove SKUNK odor!

You need to ask yourself why have I not already gotten some of this shampoo for my dog, since its going to not only clean them up and make them smell good again it’s something that is good for them and does not have a bunch of chemicals in it. Most of the people I know that have a dog also have kids and you don’t want something (full of  manmade chemicals) in the house where the kids might get a hold of it.  So get out there and get this.

The week so Far PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator
Tuesday, 21 July 2009 17:02
So far this week is going good. It feels like it should be later in the week though. Its only Tuesday but it feels like it should be Wednesday or Thursday. I don’t know what all is going to be happening this weekend but it should be something good. The beer fest is this weekend so I would like to go to that and maybe go to the range and get some time in there. I also need to do some stuff around the house since we got a new couch last night. We need to do a little shopping for that as well as get a new rug. They have a really nice one over at Costco so it would be good to get one of those this weekend as well.

AR-15 attachments PDF Print E-mail

Saturday, 18 July 2009 17:57

I still have not gotten any attachments for my AR-15. I would like to get a laser for it as well as a scope. I'm looking at getting a Leupold for it but there is no place that I can go to see what it looks like. I contacted Leupold and they gave me the number for a place near by where I live but they would have to special order it so that sucks a little. So I don’t know what I will end up doing. Save my money and wait I guess.
